Guatiza, A beautiful authentic & quiet village, is located in the north-east of the island of Lanzarote, 15 minutes from Costa Teguise, surrounded by the volcanoes Guenia, Tinamala, La Caldera and Las Calderetas. The Cactus Garden is undoubtedly the most famous and most visited place in Guatiza. It was created by César Manrique on the site of an old quarry where volcanic material was extracted. The garden covers an area of about 5,000 m² and displays 1,400 cactuses of 1,000 different species from around the world.
